Introduction Green Pedal Tours

All bookings are made in accordance with the terms and conditions set below.

The participation in a package tour is subject to certain laws and regulations. Therefore, you shall enter into a travel contract with us or our partner tour operator. All the essential terms and conditions of such a travel contract are indicated below. Please read them carefully.

Booking and payment

After you choose a tour you want to join, please contact us to check availability.
To reserve your trip, we require a deposit of USD 200  per person (For the one day tour: “Medellín Apus Nutabe” we require a deposit of USD 15 per person).

After we have received the payment of your reservation(s), we will contact you to arrange the date of the tour.

The value of the reservation(s) that you have paid will be deducted from the total value of the tour.

The balance will be paid in two installments:  One installment to be paid 15 days before the tour date, and another installment to be paid upon arrival in the country and during our first personal meeting. We will send you a payment link for the first installment.

The dates of the tours are flexible, they can accommodate your needs and the availability we have for the time you want to travel.

Accuracy

We strive to ensure that all information and prices, on our website is accurate; however, changes and errors do occasionally occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in the circumstances.

These Booking Conditions and any agreement to which they apply are governed in all respects by Colombian law. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter that arises between us in relation to your contract or reservation will be dealt with only by the courts of Colombia

Insurance

Participants are responsible for having adequate travel insurance covering accident, personal injury, loss of luggage. Green Pedal Tours is not liable for illness, personal injury, death, damage to property or other loss whether arising from accident,  delays or any other matter beyond our control. Your insurance should also cover you for cycling activities and associated risks. If you decide to travel without adequate insurance coverage, we will not be liable for losses arising, in respect of which insurance coverage would have been available.

Early termination of your vacation

If you are forced to return home early, we cannot refund the cost of unused services (including guiding services, meals, accommodation, and tours). If you shorten your vacation and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable reason to complain about the level of accommodation and services provided, we will not offer you a refund for the portion of your vacation that you have not completed, nor will we be responsible for any associated costs you may incur. Depending on the circumstances, your travel insurance may offer coverage for the reduction and we suggest that any claims be made directly with them.

Changes made by you

If you wish to change any part of your booking arrangements after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible. This must be done by the first person named on the reservation.
When we are unable to assist you and you do not wish to continue with the original reservation, we will treat it as a cancellation on your part. A cancellation fee may be required. If you are unable to travel, you may transfer your reservation to another suitable person, provided you are notified in writing.

Cancellation Policy

If you or any other member of your group decides to cancel your confirmed reservation, you must notify us in writing.  Since we incur costs when canceling your arrangements, you will have to pay the following:

Once the reservation payment deposit has been made and if the tour is cancelled, Green Pedal Tours will retain 10% of this value to cover administration costs. If the cancellation is made after the payment of 50%  of the cost of the tour, Green Pedal Tours will retain 20% of the value paid to cover the derived costs.

If we change or cancel

Most alterations will be minor and while we will do our best to notify you of any changes as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure, we will have no further liability to you.

Examples of “minor changes” include the following, When made before departure:

• A change in departure time or the total length of your vacation of twelve hours or less.
• A change of accommodation to another of the same level or classification.

Occasionally, we may have to make a major change to your confirmed arrangements.
Examples of “major changes” include the following, when made prior to departure;

• A change of accommodation area during all or a significant part of your free time.
• A change of accommodation to one of a lower level or classification during all or a significant part of your free time.
• A change in the departure time or the total duration of your arrangements of twelve or more hours.
• A significant change in your itinerary, missing one or more destinations completely.

If we have to make a major change or cancel, we will inform you as soon as possible

Special requests

You must notify us of any special requests at the time of booking, for example, diet, or a particular facility in a hotel, etc. You must then confirm your requests in writing.
